THE Katie Trust was launched in May 1999 in memory of Redcar schoolgirl  Katie Neal (pictured) who died at the age of six after a long and brave battle against a medulloblastoma brain tumour.

Katie

We are registered as a charity with the Charity Commission and our aims are:

  • to further research into cancers which affect children
  • to brighten the lives of youngsters with cancer and their families.

We are staffed entirely by unpaid volunteers and a series of sponsorship deals ensure that every penny which is donated to us will be used to further our charitable aims and not be swallowed up by overheads.

Since our launch, more than £250,000 has been raised in memory of Katie to help other youngsters with cancer and to step up the battle to develop a cure. Thank you to everyone who has played their part.
