Adele's Memorial Fund
Set up in memory of Adele Puckrin, a Redcar teenager, who died from a brain
tumour in November 2003. The fund was launched by her parents to help some
of the charities and organisations who kept Adele smiling during her brave
battle against cancer.
It is an entirely voluntary organisation. |

CancerBACUP
Each year the CancerBACUP nurses provide information and support
for nearly 50,000 cancer patients and their families by telephone,
letter and email and CancerBACUP provides hundreds of thousands of booklets
and factsheets on every aspect of cancer.
CancerBACUP is entirely supported by voluntary donations, trusts
and corporate sponsorship

A gateway to cancer information on the Net since 1996.
This non-profit guide contains over 100 pages and more than
4,000 links to cancer related information.
It is regularly updated and links are periodically verified
using a link-checker.

They are the largest volunteer-supported cancer research organisation
in the world.
With a dedicated team of 3,000 scientists and an annual scientific
spend of more than £176 million – raised almost entirely through
public donations.

The International Confederation of
Childhood Cancer Parent Organizations
The ICCCPO was founded in May 1994 in Valencia, Spain.
ICCCPO is a worldwide network of organizations of parents of children
with cancer.
It aims to share information and experience in order to improve
access to the best possible care for children with cancer everywhere in
the world.

The Louis Trust
.The Louis Trust was set up in May 2003 as a lasting memory to Louis Simm,
who was 17 months of age when he lost his fight for life in March 2002. The
purpose of the The Louis Trust Charity is to provide support and practical
help to children and their families suffering from cancer.

The National Alliance of Childhood
Cancer Parents Organisations
NACCPO is made up of parent run organisations who
have common aims of working together with families and health professionals
to support children with cancer.
NACCPO provides the link between the UK parents groups and the
International Confederation of Childhood Cancer Parent Support Groups
(ICCCPO).

Sargent Cancer Care For Children
Each year over 2,000 children and young people under 21 are
diagnosed with cancer.
Sargent Cancer Care for Children supports families at home and
in hospital from the day of diagnosis.
They provide practical and financial help.
They also provide short breaks for families at their specialist
centre in Scotland.

Siblinks
Siblibks aim to provide a network for young people who have or
have had a family member affected by cancer to gain support through social,
practical and emotional activities and provide information to raise awareness.
Their objective is to develop a network of young people 13 - 25 years who
are siblings or sons and daughters of people affected by cancer.

The United Kingdom Children's Cancer
Study Group
UKCCSG was established to improve the management of children with
cancer and to advance the knowledge and study of childhood malignancy.
It has over 450 members, working in 22 specialised Paediatric Oncology
centres throughout the British Isles, and including about 50 overseas
members. Membership of the Group includes all disciplines involved
in the treatment of children with cancer.
